Welcome to Paradise Yoga for Well-being. Whether you are new to Yoga or very familiar with it, we have something for you. That could be further developing your own Yoga practice, or making new beginnings into the science and benefits of Yoga.
Research studies all show without doubt that doing Yoga is a life-enhancing activity. If you are interested in Yoga for your body, your mind or both... you are in the right place.
Jane Pope is a an accredited Teacher/instructor/practitioner with the British Wheel of Yoga (The UK's most established and respected Governing body).
Yoga Myths!
There are many misconceptions about Yoga. For example: you have to be super flexible, young, fit, clad in Lycra and look like the models doing it on Instagram.
Or, it is some kind of weird eastern religion.
Not so…. Yoga it’s completely inclusive, the right Teacher will play to your strengths and abilities, whoever you are. The human body has an intelligence all of its own.. and responds beautifully and willingly, to being encouraged and heard.
There are of course, deeper aspects in Yoga practice, but only if you are interested in exploring them.
Meditation and mindfulness is a proven key to a calm and energised body.
Professional Experience
As an ex-dancer my body has been pushed into injury and pain. I have had periods in my younger life of depression, anxiety and eating disorder issues. Through patient and committed Yoga practice, we can reach our full potential.
Personal Experience
I come from a background in physical and mental health. I Began my career working with Addictions, offending behaviour and leading mentoring projects for young people around the West Midlands.
I have been practising Yoga since a child. Yoga has been the key to my own physical good health and mental well-being. To find out more about me, please see the Portfolio page.
